Details make a difference, especially when it comes to nutrition. Quite often we pay a lot of attention to the food we eat but don’t realise that we are ruining our diets with our drink choices. Here are three small changes that can improve your health and general wellbeing in a big way.

Wakey Wakey

Start your day with a glass of water and a slice of lemon. Not only is it rich in Vitamin C and potassium, but also facilitates digestion and detoxicates the body.

La Vida Cocoa

Replace your coffee with a cocoa and cinnamon drink. It will provide you with iron, antioxidants and lots of magnesium instead of depleting your body’s minerals as coffee can.  Simply mix two or three spoons of raw cocoa powder with hot (but not boiling) water and top it up with cinnamon. Add some honey if it’s too bitter.

Soda Pop Swap

Ditch the soda in favour of fruit juice with sparkling water. Mix half a glass of your favourite fresh juice with sparkling water straight from the refrigerator. The cold, fizzy drink will taste much nicer than cola and have far fewer additives and chemicals. You’ll also get a vitamin boost from the juice. I’ll drink to that!
